Thrilling representations of the Central Otago region
Our region has a semi-continental climate with extreme diurnal rhythms. As a result, temperatures can fluctuate during the growing season between 30 degrees C, daytime and 5 degrees C, at night. These intricate environments are reflected in our wines.
Combined with vineyard site altitude, aspect and soil type, the fruit's acidity is preserved and elevates the fruit aromas and pristine flavours. This unique climate creates wines with supreme purity.
Cooler in climate and late to ripen, Gibbston is home to our original Home Block Vineyard planted by Alan Brady in 1983. This site was recently certified organic by BioGro New Zeland.
Our close-planted Glenlee Vineyard is also located in Gibbston on what was once a sheep station. Both of these sites produce high-quality and complex fruit used in our single vineyard varietals including our premium range of Pinot Noirs.
Sprawled across low slopes and high terraces, our Bendigo vineyards include Red Shed, Ardgour, China Terrace and School House. The changes in altitude brings different characteristics and flavours to our wines.
Fruit from our lower-elevation Red Shed and Argour sites is robust, fruit-driven and inherently Central Otago.
We showcase fruit from our higher-altitude China Terrace and School House vineyards in our premium single vineyard varietals.
